- Analizzare la filiera forestale-legno, mappare lo stato delle foreste e identificare gli impatti dei cambiamenti climatici e del bostrico;
- Realizzare progetti pilota per l’uso innovativo del legno colpito dal bostrico, testarne le proprietà, migliorarne la qualità e creare prototipi di arredi urbani;

_
The WoodInnovate project focuses on addressing challenges in the forestry and wood supply chain in the Alps-Adriatic region, significantly affected by climate change. These impacts include altering the composition of forest species, reducing the quality and availability of wood, and increasing natural disasters and pest infestations, such as the massive spread of the bark beetle. The project aims to assess how climate change affects forest composition, soil protection, ecosystem health and wood quality.
Key activities:
- Analyze the forest-wood supply chain, map the situation of forests and identify the impacts of climate change and bark beetle;
- Carry out pilot projects for the innovative use of wood affected by bark beetle, test its properties, improve its quality and create prototypes of street furniture;
- Organize training on sustainable practices, create a model forest for demonstrations and promote collaboration between stakeholders.
